Mexico!

So, Continuing with the updates.

The Cruise ^_^


So we went off on our dream, well almost, vacation. We set sail from San Diego after a (insert sarcastic tone) really fun 15 hour bus ride. Our first bus driver didn't know how to turn off the heater...I think I lost three pounds in sweat. Only to gain those and a few more with the amazing food on the ship.
We boarded the ship and wandered around. We met up with one of the salesman's cousins and her friend that "happened" to be going on the cruise. Three words, "Drama Drama, Drama." These two had fun with some other boys on the ship and left our salesman and tech out to dry. It was rather entertaining to witness the withering stare downs between them an the rest of our group.


So every night there was a comedian. There was only one who was really good. He was a physics professor at USC, or so he says. He was a juggler, and a very talented one. He did his masters on the theory that the human head could sustain a blow from a bowling ball and receive little or no injury. Amazing! So he puts the bowling ball on his foot while balancing on the other. He popped the ball up with just enough force to get it slightly above his head, then cushioned it with his forehead. He was astonishing to watch him, and hilarious to listen to his jokes.


The first stop on the cruise was Ensaneda. Apperhenlty the only cool thing to do there is drink and see a blowhole, "La Bufadora." Yeah it wasn't quite as cool as everybody says.
We were pretending that it was cool. The only cool stuff were the merchants there at the blowhole. We went to lunch and bought Mike a huge hat, and me a dress, and "Coach" purse. Yea, I beleive it is real...ha. At lunch we had fajitas. DELICIOUS! On the bottom of the fajita pan, I saw something interesting...cactus. Yes, fried cactus! It was really suprisingly good.

The next stop on the Mexican tour was CABO! but first there was a day at sea. We slept in, had a long lunch, then Mike went to play basketball. The boat had a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. While he played I thought I would take advantage of the rock climbing wall. The guy who was running the wall was also the guy in charge of the 3-on-3...so about after an hour and a half of warm-up for mike and rock climbing for me, the contest started. All the Dish crew were totally tired from "warming-up." Mike went with the scrub team, just for fun. They made the semi's but fell one point short.


Cabo! What a beautiful place! We went four wheeling on the beach. So fun, so dirty! I got stuck behind a slow guy on the way there and back. We rode over sand dunes and over rocky hills. The beach was gorgeous! We just had touch the crystal blue water. So we got off our ride and walked down to the beach. We were there for about 3 minutes before our guide came running down waving his arms and yelling at us to get out of the water. Apperhently the beach is protected for sea turtles and there is a $2,000 fine for riding on that beach...my bad.
We also took a glass bottom boat around the reef. The fish were amazing. The boat on the other hand, well, it was a regular boat with a square hole cut in the bottom and sealed with leaky plexi-glass. It was awesome. Then it was back to the boat, to watch the sunset, And take a billion pictures of it. Here are the best.
And with that, the only thing better than this sunset was the dinners every night. We were brave and tried the duck, mahi mahi, shrimp, escargot (yup snails ^_^) and veal, oh and pumpkin soup. All and all, I look forward to many more cruises in our future.
